The Cognac Brown Leather Racer
A slim moto jacket stripped to its cleanest lines — no excess, all intent. This men’s cognac brown leather racer jacket runs close to the body with a mandarin collar and a straight centre zip, the refined cousin of the classic biker: sharp without the hardware pile-on. Cut from 100% real lambskin, it holds its shape and its edge for years rather than seasons. Weekday polish or weekend ease, it does the job of three jackets and never looks like it’s trying. Best of all, cognac is a colour that improves with age — every wear deepens it.

Handcrafted in Decrum’s own workshop and sold direct — maker-to-wardrobe, without the retail markup a racer jacket like this usually carries. We’ve built leather this way since 2015: real hide, honest construction, no faux and no shortcuts. You pay for the lambskin and the hands that shaped it, not the names in between.
The Material
100% real lambskin gives a slim jacket its close, second-skin fit without stiffness — light on the shoulder, quick to warm to the body. In cognac, the leather’s depth really shows: a warm mid-brown that catches light across the grain and takes on a richer patina the more it’s worn. It breaks in rather than breaks down, the surface softening and the colour deepening season on season. This is a jacket that looks better broken in than box-fresh.
The Cut
A slim racer silhouette built for a clean line — a mandarin collar that sits sharp without a lapel, and a sturdy YKK centre zip straight up the front. Four zip pockets — two at the chest, two at the sides — keep the front minimal and everything secure. Trim through the shoulder and body, it reads streamlined rather than bulky, moto in spirit but easy to wear off the bike.
How It’s Worn
Over a white tee and dark denim it’s pure clean moto; over a shirt it sharpens up for the evening. Cognac is the versatile middle of the brown family — warmer than black, richer than tan — and pairs as easily with grey and cream as with indigo. It brings colour and character without ever shouting.
